The Festival du Dessin (Arles) continues its spotlight on major collections and collectors, a series launched in 2025, with this year’s presentation of over a hundred treasures from the drawing collection of filmmaker and producer Marin Karmitz. Previously little known, his collection of drawings reflects his ethical and aesthetic concerns long before his first photographs. His approach to drawing began with the great masters of classical and modern art, and has continued to grow with the most prestigious names from various eras.

The exhibition includes two works by Christian Boltanski: Animitas (Blanc) and a work from the Saynète Comique series.
