Commissioned for the museum’s top floor in 1990, this iconic piece from the collection consists of a labyrinth of twelve rows of sheets embroidered with inscriptions, onto which are inserted some thirty black-and-white photographs of body fragments, as well as naïve or ghostly drawings. The installation is completed by several display cases reused from the château’s former museum.

In the words of the artists themselves, this monumental installation is first and foremost an evocation of the attics of yesteryear, where laundry was hung out to dry, and which were also a favorite playground for children.
